Final Fantasy Z

From the defeat of Garland, to Bahamut's Blessing

The heroes began a long and arduous journey.

(1) They crossed the Northern Bridge and faced a strange man in combat, who later leaped off the bridge and disappeared, saying he would return.

(2) The heroes went north towards Matoya, they stopped in the town of Dundraville before continuing. They found out the town was under the control of a gigas who was “protecting them” for ale and food, but recently he started taking gold and lumber, and then eventually he took two people and wants more.

(3) The heroes agreed to take care of the gigas. They found him in Skulltop Hill, and slew him, to discover that he was working with a wizard named Suto. Suto was trying to fulfill his fathers work and summon the great demon Frogroth, and find the Codex Illium.(a tome filled with the details of the demon world, and even the instructions to create a weapon capable of slaying them)

(4) The heroes rained down upon Suto and his lab, and destroyed everything they did not take, and freed the captured town folk. They returned to Dundraville, and after some questioning, found that the mayor’s new lover; Velasca, was the one master minding the search for the Codex, and that her search is nigh complete and everyone was going to die…and she teleported away. The heroes found her in the town crypt, slew her undead guards, stabbed her to death and took the Codex for themselves. They then got their reward and went to Matoya’s.

(5) Upon reaching Matoya’s cave, they learned why nobody bothers her….She has a small herd of golems made of iron to defend her. They asked her about their destiny, and she replied that she was now blind in all ways, due to her crystal eye being taken by someone who could cloud her sight. She recognized Zion, and referred to his as a Time Displaced Traveller, and that he knew what had to be done.

(6) The heroes went south to Pravoka and made a deal with Bikke to get a ship to Elfheim, this is where they remet Vita, the black mage pirate that was captured in the basement of the White Mage’s Guild. She gave them a ride south to Elfheim….after raiding a Kyzoku ship.

(7) Upon reaching Elfheim, the heroes had to use their role as Ambassador’s of Coneria in order to enter the port. They were told to wait in port for a day, while they ride off to get word from the Chancellor. While waiting, the heroes decided to persuade their way off the ship for a few hours, and wandered around Kakariko village. Having been there once before in the other world, Zion knew he had to go to the library and find the Book of Mudora, and then enter the crypt in Death Mountain and clear it out.

(8) Inside the crypt, the heroes faced four undead knights of Bahamut who had been placed to make a seal to stop the flow of a great evil. Inside they found a once powerful white mage of Light, who had fallen to the temptations of corruption, had opened a portal to the source of the rot of the earth, helping to spread it. The heroes slew the powerful monster, and in order to close the portal they had to sacrifice a living person…they saw that near the portal was the fresh body of a black mage who had gotten caught up by the pull of the portal while he was warping that he caught placed in front of the monster named Jax and slew. The heroes used a Pinion and raised him…just to throw him into the portal and shut it down, and they left feeling themselves the heroes.

(9) The heroes then went into the Lost Woods to seek the bandits that had been plaguing the area. They found that it was run by dark elves, and a powerful dark elf named lind the Thief was running them. Blind escaped and the heroes returned to town.

(10) After that endeavor, they were greeted by an elven escort and brought with to Elfheim, where they were brought to Chancellor Agahnim. After a brief discussion, Agahnim made the accusation that they were assassins sent by Coneria to take over the government and later invade in the current weakened state, and had them imprisoned.

(11) They found themselves in a jail under the castle, and the Princess Adlez was also there, and they conspired to escape, and escape they did. Zion picked his way out and then freed the others, they slew their keepers and found the cache with their gear and took what was theirs and escaped the dungeons. They went up to the throne room, where the Princess showed them the secret way out. They followed the secret passage for miles, until they reached a door that went to the back of a church of Light in the southern port town of Eolis.

(12) The Priest of the Temple was more than willing to help the Princess and the heroes, and offered to take care of the Princess while the heroes gathered the Pendants of Power, Wisdom and Courage in order to obtain the Master Sword, the only thing that can stop the evil Dread Aeon Ganon, who the Chancellor was seeking to summon with the sacrifice of the Princess.

(13) The heroes proceeded to travel around Hyrule escorted by an elven warrior named Faxanadu. They traveled first to the northwest, and to the Forest Temple in the Lost Woods, then to Lake Hylia and it’s dungeon. While in these dungeons, the heroes found two of the pendants, a magic bow of the hero, and two of the three Hero’s Magic, Faore’s Wind, and Nayru’s Love.

(14) The heroes arrived at Castle Daventry where they met with King Graham, who said he lost his kingdom to the evil wizard Mordack and his brothers, all of which are Pisco Demons, all of who worked together to take the kingdom into a crystal ball and stole the magic crown of Daventry. They reside in the marshes to the south in the ruins of Myth Drannor.

(15) The heroes traveled south to the ruins and journeyed under ground and faced the Pisco Demons. A terrible battle was had, and the heroes nearly perished, but Faxanadu held strong and kept the heroes alive until they could win. After they won and got the crown, they realized it was the crown of Elfheim, and Zion knew that this was a plot to get it from them when they returned to Daventry, since it had happened in the last time cycle. Outside the chamber, the heroes end up in a fight with a powerful dark elf assassin, and knew that the rest of the way out was filled with dark elves, so Zion used Farore’s Wind to escape back to Lake Hylia.

(16) From Lake Hylia, the heroes then traveled to the Eastern Palace to find the last pendant and the last of the Hero’s Magic. Deep inside they found the last pendant, and Zion gained the power of Din’s Fire.

(17) After this, the heroes returned to Eolis to find that the Princess had been taken by the Chancellor’s men and some members of SOLDIER. The heroes went to the west to the Temple of Time to recover the Master Sword. They traveled deep into a massive labyrinth carved out by the dwarves millienia ago. At the bottom of the pit, the heroes faced a massive monster and its brood called the Dodongo. After slaying the horrible monster, they found themselves being attacked by Blind and his band. The heroes scattered the band, and Blind ran away. Zion approached the sword, and had to face his Shadow Self. Triumphant, Zion claimed the Master Sword, and the heroes left the dungeon, ready to face Agahnim.

(18) The heroes then marched north, where they ran into Cyquis and Harlin of Winter Company; an elite group of SOLDIER. The heroes had a rough time, but they managed to force Cyquis on the run, and they killed Harlin. After this, they proceeded to enter Elfheim. Zion persuaded the guard to let him in to stop the evil by presenting the Master Sword and the Pendants.

(19) They invaded the castle, facing the strange man once more on the bridge, he declared himself to be Gilgamesh, and that he had been fighting Zion across dimensions many times. Defeating him, Gilgamesh leaped from the bridge saying he would be back.

(20) The heroes continued to storm the castle, they made their way through throngs of elven warriors, only to be pushed aside. They came before the main chamber where Agahnim stood with the Princess upon an altar. In a flash of light, the Princess vanished. Agahnim laughed at the heroes and told them that Ganon would now return. Hanu and Zhel immediately attacked Agahnim, they hurt him mortally, but he got off his spell, and a group of shadow selves appeared and blasted the group down. Zion saw it coming and snuck away as the spells went off, and crept up on Agahnim and stabbed him with the “Mage Masher”, silencing him as he slit his throat.

(21) On top of the castle top, the Dread Aeon Gannon returned. The heroes leaped upon him before he could regain his power, pushing him into the corner, punishing him for simply existing. After mauling him to a blood y pile, Zion fire the SIlver Arrow in to Gannon, destroying his body, sending him back to the land of Espers. The Princess reappeared, and the heroes brought her back inside safely, and spent the next week helping rebuild Elfheim and protect the Princess.

Chapter 13 - Light in the Darkness

After resting briefly, the heroes crept back to the Guildhall, where they:

(1) Got prepared to go to the Temple and raid that shit.

(2) Had the guild prepare horses for the raid and to be ready so they could escape the city, that was now out looking for their blood.

(3) After getting ready, the party had Core use the Warp spell to get them out of town and to their horses.

(4) The heroes rode for almost a solid day north to the temple. Along the way, they ran through Hightower Tor, which had been taken over by ghouls, which they cleared as they ran through.

(5) The heroes rode to the Temple, and raided it. Inside, they fought through a small legion of undead lizard folk, and humanoids from the Dark world, that could fade into the shadows at will.

(6) Inside the main altar room, they fought a wizard of the Shadow people, and its bodyguard, an undead half dragon.

(7) In the altar room, they found the Dusk Lord’s Passage; a way into the Dark World, where Garland had taken Princess Sara in order to sacrifice her to break open the veil between the worlds. (They also learned that all the demons and creatures that came from that world here, had to have somebody sacrificed in the Light World.)

(8) Inside the Dark world, the heroes made their way through the Dark Palace; a place shrouded completely in shadow, high above a never ending ocean of darkness.

(9) All the creatures of the Dark World could meld into the shadows, and was quite difficult to defeat, but the heroes pressed on.

(10) They finally made it to the main fortress, where Garland was, and stormed it, slaying many guards, including the Mezzoloth guarding the door; its final words being a cry out: DESPAYR!!

(11) As they go up to the door, a massive shadow dragon(Depayr) landed and faced them. Hanu had been having visions of this beast early on in their adventure into the world of Darkness, and faced the creature, ultimately slaying it, as it muttered its dying words: Dovahkiin.

(12) The soul of the beast was torn asunder from the beast and Hanu absorbed it into himself. Not sure what just happened, the heroes knew they had to press on.

(13) Inside the final chamber, the heroes crossed a bridge, where Tazok was waiting to stop them, as they began to fight him, Kivan(who had been following them for a while) Came out to help the fight and avenge his wife. Tazok was slain, and his body cast off the bridge into the darkness below.

(14) In the final conflict with Garland, the heroes found themselves pushed to their limits, as the dark knight’s power was immense. As the battle came to its climax, Hanu faced Garland, and realized what the power of the dragon was, when he shouted out a word both familiar and alien to him “FUS”, and a wave of power shot from his mouth, knocking the knight down, where the others were able to finish him.

(15) With Garland dead, the heroes saved Princess Sara. They were also greeted by Gilius Thunderhead, a powerful dwarf, who had been watching them for quite some time, and who revealed himself as the Chosen of Bahamut, and that they were the Light Warriors and that their destinies were entwined with the fate of the world.

(16) On a hunch from Zion and with the encouragement of Gilius, Princess Sara sang the ancient song of the Cetra on her family lute that Garland had taken with him, and the heroes were transported back outside to the Light World and in front of the temple.

(17) Gilius said his farewells, and that he would meet them again some day, he warned that Reis must not let the darkness inside him consume him, and that they should follow their hearts and continue on, and that Bahamut will be waiting for when they are ready.

Episode 12 - Jailbreak

After waking up in the castle dungeon, the heroes:

(1) Busted out with the help of a Red Mage named Aryn, who got imprisoned without them knowing she was a Red Mage, and cast sleep on the guard during a transfer, and stole the keys, releasing the other prisoners.

(2) The heroes then proceeded to make their break, grabbing torches and gear from the down guard, and fighting their way out.

(3) AS they were escaping, they searched the cells, and found and released Elle, Core, Biggs and Wedge.

(4) They broke out to the upper levels, where Zion scouted ahead and ran into Reis, who now had a lab in the castle.

(5) Reis talked some shit, but helped Zion out who had been poisoned a while earlier.

(6) After regrouping with the others, Zion lead the rest up to Reis lab, where he was now absent, but they found alot of their taken gear from imprisonment.

(7) The heroes continued on and broke out of the castle through the front gates, facing a Minotaur Lord, barely surviving, but ultimately helped by the arrival of a summon Kirin(wonder who did that) buying the heroes time to slay the beast and escape.

(8) After escaping into the city, the heroes then broke back into the sewers in a bid to come back around and into the castle once more.

(9) Biggs and Wedge left while in the sewers to return to the guildhall for help, while the others went up into the castle for a final assault.

(10) The heroes slayed the demons in their way and returned to the throne room to face Garuda.

(11) They instead found King Steve, who threatened them. SO they did what they do best and proceeded to kill the possessed King of Coneria, much to the amusement of Garuda.

(12) Garuda proceeded to smack the heroes around some more, but this time they were propared for his tactics and managed to wear him down.

(13) As Garuda summoned a powerful demon to this world, Reis stabbed him in the back with Zion’s Dagger of Backstabbing, killing Garuda.

(14) The heroes gathered up, looted the treasury and fled into the sewers as the guards flooded in to find the dead king.

(15) Using the sewers, the heroes returned to the basement of the Inn, which was being used by the smugglers and had a safehouse to hang low in for a while, as they planned their next move.

Episode 11 - Siege of Coneria

After gathering back at Zion’s Guildhall, the heroes made plans to invade Coneria Castle and stop the king.

(1) The gathered up, Elle the Red Mage, Biggs and Wedge(Guards who turned over to them after the new laws), Core the Black Mage, Aleina; Protector of the Light, and the Head of the Temple of Light.

(2) They divided into two teams. Group A would go through the sewers to sneak into the castle, while Group B distracted the forces on the outside.

(3) After sneaking through the sewers, the heroes came into the castle with Elle and Core at their side, and found themselves facing a legion of bugbears, orcs and demons, along with possessed human guards.

(4) After cutting their way through the beasts, they got to the entrance to the upper floors, where Elle and Core stayed behind to hold off the hordes of demons that came pouring after them.

(5) At the top floor, the heroes ran into Reis in the throne room. It was revealed that he now worked for the Shadow Lord, Garuda.

(6) Garuda appeared and proceeded to beat the piss out of the group to have them imprisoned and executed in the public to make an example of them.

Episode 10 - Midsummer Festival

The heroes made their way into the Midsummer Festival.
Here they:

(1) Bought new supplies and gear

(2) Dealt with a sudden ambush assault on the crowd by wererats

(3) After that, Ghouls attacked from behind a pavilion that was running the play; “Loveless.”

(4) The heroes then went on to investigate the White Mage’s Guild.

(5) They discovered that the White Mage’s Guild had been taken over by Dopplegangers; creatures from the Shadow Realm that had not been in this world since the Age of Chaos.

(6) They found that the White Mage’s Guild had a portal to the Shadow Realm in their basement that was malfunctioning, and would destroy most who went through it, but would taint those who lived with the power of Darkness. (Reis was one of those who survived.)

(7) In the Basement, they found that the White Mage’s Guild was shipping people out through a shipping lane, and after killing the shipper; they found a map on him to the Temple of Chaos.

(8) Eventually, they got some authorities to help them uncover the other dopplegangers, allowing them to finish off the cult that had taken over, with the law on their side.(for once)

(9) Having survived their ordeals, the heroes decided to help out the investigation of the wererat attacks as well, and ended up in the sewers, fighting off hordes of wererats that had been building up a massive smuggling ring.

(10) Next they went to the Black Mage’s Guild, outside of the place they met Core, a powerful Black Mage who warned them of the suspicious nature of the tower.

(11) The heroes began their raid of the tower, and managed to save Aleina; Protector of the Shrine of Light, who had been kidnapped by the cult to have her brainwashed by the Brain in the Jar.

(12) As they climbed the tower, they were nearly destroyed by a Clay Golem at the top of the tower, along with the Head Mistress of the New Black Mage’s Guild Cult.
If not for the timely involvement of Core, the heroes may have perished then and there.

(13) After surviving their the Black Mages ordeal, the heroes go to the Inn to rest up and talk with Aleina.

(14) Soon after, the summoning bell is rung, that King Steve of Coneria wishes to address the public.

(15) The heroes go to the announcement, to learn that Garland is now to be Knight Protector of the Realm, and that the Temple of Light is to be disbanded, and the festival is to be cancelled at once, and all caravans and pavilions are to be gone by nightfall or they will be destroyed. After this, he declares martial law, and demons appear to help enforce these new laws.

Episode 9 - The Shadow Thieves

As the heroes prepared to make another assault on Tazok, a mysterious elf approached them and introduced himself as Kivan, and that he had been hunting Tazok for years after he had captured, tortured and killed his lover.

He told the group that Tazok could fly and assume any humanoid form he desired.
He also told them that with his camp in shambles, he changed his form and flew off with Reis to the south.
He knew that Tazok had been conspiring with a black mage named Tranzig down in Coneria, and was willing to lead the heroes there.
First however, the heroes had to get past Hightower, so they returned to Vethboro to rest a night, and prepare.
There they met Olbo, the remote reaches contact for the Shadow Thieves Guild of Coneria.
Zion made a deal to get them smuggled past and brought to Coneria where they could meet with Phyxar.
Once there, they talked with Phyxar who setup a meeting with Renal Bloodscalp, one of the guildmasters of the Shadow Thieves.
Once they spoke with Renal, he told them how they could help them find their friend and get them access to the Black Mage’s Guild, but they would have to do them a favor first.
Renal needed the group to help infiltrate another Guildmaster named Mae’Var’s group and see what treachery he is up to.

The heroes then took the letter of transfer they got from Renal, and joined Mae’Vars guild.
Soon they were doing missions for him.(Robbed Merchant Hucrele, killed the mage Ramazith, got some important documents from a merchant named Marcus, and pretended to assassinate a traitor named Embarl)
Eventually, they found the evidence they seeked, when Mae’Var’s Second in Command; Edwin Odesseiron gave them the key to Mae’Var’s safe and assisted them in toppling the treacherous Mae’Var and his plot to bring the rival Pravokan assassin’s guild; The Shadowblades. into Coneria.

In a great battle, the heroes slew Mae’Var and his Shadowblade enforcers, however Edwin did not fair so well and perished in the battle.
With the Shadow Thieves reunited after a bloody civil war, the heroes got to meet the Head Guildmaster of all the Shadow Thieves; Aran Linval.

He offered to Zion the ability to replace Mae’Var as the Guildmaster of that stronghold.
Zion accepted, and Aran told the heroes all about what they knew.
That Tranzig is the middle man to a large man named Tazok, who brings wounded men to Tranzig, and then Tranzig brings them to the White Mages Guild.
This is not abnormal, in that the White Mages Guild tends to bring in wounded and diseased people to practice and experiment on.
But the frequency of this arrangement rouses suspicion.
They also know that Reis was taken into the White Mages Guild.
The scouts say that those who go in, don’t always come out these days, and those who do, for some reason seem hard to see and leave only in the dead of night.

Now the heroes gather their supplies and ready themselves to go into the Midsummer Festival and look for their friend.

Episode 8 - The Mighty Tazok

The heroes left Vethboro to deal with the bandit camp to the north.
They were attacked by ogres, imps and orcs on the road, where they had recently destroyed a caravan.
Quickly dispatching their ambush, the heroes headed north and followed the wagon ruts in the swamp up into the Forbidden Forest.
It was there that they found the bandit encampment.
By this point, the heroes seemed to think themselves invincible, and charged at the bandits, tearing their ranks apart…that is, until their leader; Tazok the Ogre Mage, came forth.
With his mighty magic, he pummeled and blasted the fighters and rogue into submission, while Thia fled south.
While fleeing, Thia ran into Reis, we had been captured by some formidable bounty hunters, and was being lead to find the others.

The quickly captured and tortured Thia to reveal where the others were.
She then led the bounty hunters to the bandit camp, where she pitted the bounty hunters against Tazok, while she cast Invis and rescued the others from his tent, where he had stored them before he would take them to become part of the “Shadow Army”.
The plan was going well, until the bounty hunters finally feel to Tazok, and the heroes made a desperate run for freedom.
As the heroes fled, Reis was at the back of the group.
Tazok came after the group yelling curses, and Reis; sure he was would succeed, slowed down to taunt the beast and cast a Blind spell.
The Blind spell failed, and Tazok replied with Blizzaga, devastating Reis, and forcing the others to abandon him.
Last they could see, Tazok came over and took the injured Black Mage and carried him off.

Now, licking their wounds, the heroes must decide what they will do next.

Episode 7 - The Vethboro Dragon

After securing the tower, the heroes decided to go venture to the nearest town, which happen to be the last frontier town of Vethboro.
Vethboro made its living harvesting and selling Dark Leaf timber from the Mt.Veth region, but lately, their shipments are being taken by a band of marauding ogres and orks.
No supplies make it out or in from the south.

To make matters worse, two days earlier, Henri Fairweatherl one of the founding members of the town claimed to have seen a giant dragon, with scales as red as a crayfish, land on Mt. Veth and slither into the side of it.

The heroes decided to investigate so long as they got paid(200 gold and a horse).
Some of them thought it a hoax, due to Henri Fairweathers penchant for wearinga tinfoil hat to keep the dragon from reading his mind.
But their doubts were put to an end, when they wandered through the caverns of the mountain, and found an old and powerful Copper Dragon.
The Copper Dragon was a good dragon and wanted peace, but he also had a problem with a band of imps that kept trying to steal his hoard.
So he made a deal with the heroes to make peace with the town if they cleared out the imps.
The heroes continued on, and found little resistance, mostly workers and a skeleton crew of guards.
They also found that this band of imps were also followers of Elemental Chaos.
Soon they realized that an army of imps had already left to invade Vethboro.

The heroes made a run for the town, only to find it in the middle of a siege with at least 3 to 1 odds of imps vs the people.

As the fight pressed on, Haspaar the Copper Dragon descended to help the group, and with his help dispatched the remaining imps and saved the day.
After this battle, Haspaar made peace with the town, and became its guardian, and the heroes were rewarded.
But now they prepare to investigate the ogre bandits that have been plaguing the main roads as of late.

Episode 6 - The Mysterious Tower

The heroes searched the area around the tower, and found a trapdoor in the ruins of the old barracks, that lead down into an ancient tomb.
The tomb had been there since before the tower was built, and it seemed that the wizard had integrated it into his personal stronghold.
They found four skeleton keys on the corpse of four dead mages, and eventually found a secret door into a torture chamber, which in turn had a secret tower leading down a spiraling staircase to the wizard’s dungeon.

In the dungeon, the heroes had to pass through several force field obstacles and use the skeleton keys to open the man gate.
After this, they walked the long pit trap riddled hall way, to a large open room with a trapped chest in the middle.
Once they got it open and took the key, mechanical spiders began to descend upon them, and they made a run through the door at the end of the hall, and got through a secret door to escape their pursuers.

Once inside, they found the way into the tower.
The mage who made the impenetrable wall had messed up his calculations and made the lever a little too far out, and his wall a little too small, as the on/off switch ended up outside, and he could not free himself afterwards.

The heroes opened the forcefield, releasing the wizard’s spirit, and allowing entry to the tower.
The heroes found that the place was designed to be able to live in until old age and death took you. A self cleaning bed and wardrobe. Air purifier and recycling system. An endless supply of water and tasteless food.
They also found that two creatures were trapped in some forcefields upstairs.
Thia opened one of them and the creature turned out to be a nymph that rewarded here with a nice cloak, the other creature turned out to be a quasit, and it escaped and sealed them inside the tower.
Luck would have it that Zion was not inside the tower yet, and he found the quasit while it hid, plotting to trap him as well.
But Zion made short work of the fiend, and freed his friends.
They explored the rest of the tower, and found the treasury.
They decided that the place would be a great base, but at this time, it was a bit dangerous.
Reis however, had found that the wizard was working on a way to go through the barrier.
If you have a physical conduit, you can teleport between it and the tower even if the wall is up….but only if its set before the wall goes up.
So now Reis works on making this happen.

Episode 5 - The Forge of Fury

Fleeing northwest to Blasingdell, the heroes find that a messenger has beaten them there on horse back, forcing the heroes to have to bypass the town and head to Stonetooth.
In the mountains, the heroes eventually found the secret dwarven stronghold in the Stonetooth mountain as the map directed them.
Inside, they found that orcs had taken to it, and made it their base.
The heroes successfully cleared the the upper levels of orcs, where they ran into Reis.
Reis had recently fled Coneria, when he found that a Brain in a Jar had taken over the Black Mage Guild and now he was being hunted down after escaping the process of being converted.
He fled northwest and by luck looked for a place to stay and hide out, and found that something had killed the orcs, and he found the entrance the heroes had taken and meet up with them.

After their reunion, the heroes continued on down into the depths, and cleared out a trogolodyte clan, and found the lost forge deep underground next to a source of raw Mako Energy.

The forge had recently been taken over by duergar, and the heroes slew the dark dwarves and gathered a note that was telling the duergar to gather materials and forge blades for the “Great Temple”.

The group even accidently freed a succubus, who warned them of the dangers further in the forge.

So, the heroes ventured forth into the darkness, where they faced Greenscar, the Young Gas Dragon.
It was a rough battle, and the heroes barely prevailed….as in it dropped Hanu and Zhel, before it was overcome by Reis, Thia and Zion.

Luck would have it, that the dragons hoard had some phoenix pinions, and they were able to get back on their feet.

They took everything they could from the treasure hoard of the dragon, and used its escape route to get out of the chasm beneath the forge.
The underwater passage took them to small lake, where they arrived at the foot of a marsh.
They found no other way to go, and so headed into the Dreaded Swamps.
Eventually, the night fell, and the heroes found themselves coming up to a tall tower on a lone pillar of land in the marsh, and the ruins of a small fort.
The tower had a glowing forcefield around it.
Legends speak of how a powerful mage once built a tower in the Dread Swamps, and he later built a small fort as a base to supply his needs for building more magical devices.

It is said he studied magic wardings, and that one day, he put up a magic barrier that none could get passed, and he never came out again.
Eventually, the wild creatures of the land overran the small fort, and it became deserted for hundreds of years.
It is said that sometimes, when a traveler coes to the tower, they can see the ghost of the wizard still trapped inside of a tower with no way in and no way out.

Now the heroes rest, with Reis very curious to find a way in.
